Passenger numbers at Kyiv Sikorsky soar by over 44% in first three months of 2019.

Kyiv Sikorsky International Airport serviced 638,000 passengers during the first quarter in 2019, representing a year-on-year increase of 44.3%. The vast majority of passengers were on international flights, with just 15,000 flying domestically. Key destinations included Warsaw, Minsk, Vienna and Berlin. Sikorsky International, formerly known as Zhuliani Airport, is Kyiv’s second airport in terms of size. It is located closer to the downtown area that the country’s main air hub Boryspil International Airport. It has been one of the strongest performers in terms of flight and passenger growth during the past three years as Ukraine’s air travel industry has experienced unprecedented growth.
