Ukraine-EU trade continues to grow in Q1 2019 as free trade opportunities boost economic integration.

Trade between Ukraine and the European Union grew by 6% year-on-year during the first quarter of 2019 to reach USD 11.15 billion. This latest increase is in line with a sustained growth trend that has seen trade expand by 40% in the three years since the advent of free trade between Ukraine and the European Union within the framework of the 2014 Ukraine-EU Association Agreement. The EU is now the primary global market for Ukrainian exports, accounting for a 42.5% share of all Ukrainian exports in 2018 worth a total of approximately USD 20 billion.
